An Update

Taron and I are now managers over a small single men's apartment complex called Clarke Apartments. Here are some pics of our new little house we live in. It is soooo much bigger then our last apartment!

My Favorite corner of the house! =)

Taron has started school back up this month and we just celebrated his birthday last weekend in Utah. We had lots of fun with Taron's side of the family. Tyson and Stacey are always so great when we stay at their place! Stacey was sweet cooking Taron birthday breakfast, baking him a cake, and taking us out to dinner! It was also great to finally meet Tean's fiance Ris! We are excited to have her in the family! =) I will post pics of Taron's birthday if I get them from Stacey.

I've been promoted at work from a reservationist at the Salt Lake Express to one of the office managers. I've been a manager for about a week now and its going good! They are slowly working me into it. I have my own desk, extension, voice mail and everything! I am really enjoying having different projects to work on instead of just answering the phone all day everyday.

I'm starting to show just a little. I cant wait until I look without a doubt pregnant instead of just fat. This picture is from 14 weeks. (I wore a tight shirt for this pic so maybe I would pop out a little more) I am now 16 weeks without much difference in the baby bump area.

My sister Tammy gave us her crib and I love love love it!

Brand New Year!

After reading my sister-in-law's blog of New Years resolutions I was inspired to post my own. I like the fact that she posted them so they become more meaningful because other's now know. I also liked how in this year's post she told us how she did with her New Years resolutions from last years post. Just shows that she actually kept up with them! I never really make New Years resolutions because I'm continually working on the same goals with little variations here and there. Health and Spirituality. I am constantly on a roller coaster of highs and lows but hey, who isn't? A lot of my goals are very similar to what most people decide they need to improve in their lives. But I decided that was OK because if we are all picking the same type of resolutions that must mean something about them.

The only real resolution I have that is specific to this year is of course to deliver a happy healthy baby! Here are the rest of my goals that I am currently working on.

Eating Healthy: I feel like I have been doing really well for a while now with eating healthy thanks to Bountiful Baskets and the happy knowledge that whatever I eat now affects a tiny little growing body! I even got to the point where I didn't really want snacks. Which is a big deal for me to get too because I always want something chocolate or salty to snack on! But just lately with moving and Christmas snacks I have eaten a lot of junk. Time to step up my game again.

Working Out: My goals for working out have shifted slightly now that I am pregnant and am not supposed to have vigorous workouts to loose weight or to get more and more in shape. Now I just simply want to make sure that I am doing some kind of workout at least 3 times a week. I haven't done a thing since I've been pregnant due to nausea and exhaustion but I feel a new wave of energy coming back and I'm excited to get a workout back into my life. I'm thinking of working it in once my new work hours start for January. I love working out because I love feeling strong and healthy! I love pushing myself and feeling myself get stronger overtime. I think its the competitive side of me likes to see success and there are very few things that satisfy me more than physical success. I will have to tone that side of me down for a while and just be happy in knowing that I am doing something that makes me feel more healthy and better about myself even if I can't currently push myself to improve.

Spirituality: I always always ALWAYS need to be constantly trying to improve my own personal scripture study and prayers. This is probably the hardest thing for me to keep on an consistent up. This is up and down more then anything! It take a lot of work to make prayer and scripture study meaningful each time, its just too easy to go through the motions.

Temple attendance at least once a month if not twice before the baby is born. After baby is born...I have no idea.

Pictures and Fun: So this is something that might be more specific to this year then my other goals because usually I do really well at it. Lately I haven't taken any pictures! None from moving! None from Christmas! None from New years! None from my pregnancy! I love pictures and normally take lots! what wrong with me? =) I think its important to take lots of pictures of Taron and I during our first few years of marriage and my pregnancies.

oh and P.S. Taron's the best! I am glad I have a whole new year I get to start with him! =)

My Baby is becoming a BABY! =)

This is the happy news babycenter.com shared with me today. =)

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. His/Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

He/She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as his/her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

This sure was fun to read! Last I heard my baby was still a little bean with one nub for an arm. (Pictured above:8 weeks). I am now 11 weeks along and doing great! =)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Its official. Its getting colder.

The only thing that keeps me going through winter is the string of fun holidays back to back. To start off of this years winter holiday festivities...first up, making bats for Halloween!

I've never been to a Halloween party before (besides ward parties) and this year we went to TWO. Our first party we were invited to by our friends Katelyn and Steve. Taron and I went as Nerd Herders from the TV show Chuck. Steve and Katelyn went as vampires. We had a fun night of goodies, Halloween scavenger hunt, and darts.

My team mates for the Halloween scavenger hunt.

WE WON! I haven't won anything in a really long time. Let a long a competition between lots of people. I am pretty stoked about my prizes!

Next up, Carving pumpkins!
Mine is left, Taron's is right

Cap's pumpkin

Our second party! This one I helped a couple of my co-workers throw.
This party we had Cap complete us by coming as a Buy More retail salesman.

Mummy pizzas we brought to the 2nd party. (With my cell phone in my pocket so we wouldn't miss Matt's exciting phone call.)

At this party we also enjoyed goodies and games! Scary charades, monster tag, m&m game, murder in the dark, and mafia.

And last but not least, on Sunday we had our traditional Halloweenie dinner! Mummies, severed hand punch, bones, and forked eyeballs.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Tea Anyone?

Yesterday my friend Katelyn invited me to go to a tea party.(I had no idea what was coming!) I've been to a tea place once before with Taron's family but this was nothing like the one before! The other one I went to was more of a small restaurant which was set up all fun and fancy for tea. This place I went to yesterday wasn't a small restaurant but instead a lady's house who decided to host tea parties for a living. Just walking through her front gate brought you into a new world. Her yard was a beautiful green over grown garden with stone pathways and grape vines draped over arches. She lived in this old Victorian/vintage house filled with old nic-nacs, drapes, vintage wall paper and lace. She had a million of fun big hats and was happy to dress us up for tea! We were informed of proper etiquette and the proper way for a lady to lay one's gloves on the table and the different meaning for placing ones gloves a certain way. She served us with a few delicious courses of fancy tea foods like scones....her cooking was YYYUUUUUMMMY! Along with tea she served us this lavender lemonade which, hands down, was the best lemonade I have ever had! No other lemonade will ever compare. The lady, I think her name was Tawnya, went above and beyond in trying to create a special atmosphere to come and relax and rejuvenate. She was sweet and full of life and helped me remember how magical life can be. =)

One Year Down, Forever To Go!

Last summer Taron planned the perfect proposal, a pic-nic on top of the ropes course tower. This year for our anniversary we decided to relive those memories and have dinner on top of the tower! Steak, potatoes, and corn! Yummmmm!

I've couldn't have wished for a happier year! Happy Anniversary Taron! I'm excited to have an eternity of anniversaries to come! =)
